Target Head of the Class Beauty Box Review July 2015

So I also managed to snag the Head of the Class Target Beauty Box for $5 which also lists a $20 value online (but I'll calculate it out just to see). This box arrived a little scuffed up in the mail, but they're still really nice and sturdy boxes that I'll likely keep for storage.

Target beauty boxes are like subscription beauty boxes, except you don't subscribe - you just have to make sure to purchase it when it's available and before it runs out.

First up, another Bathery item (there was a pouf from this brand in the Honor Roll box). Bathery 2 in 1 pumice stone. I'm still debating whether or not I'll keep this item. - $1.99

A 10 count pack of Yes to Cucumbers soothing facial towelettes. Excited to see this, as it's the perfect size for traveling (which I'll be doing soon) and I love their towelette products. They smell really good and definitely are cool and soothing. - $2.99

And another 3 pack of Goody Ouchless Elastics (received on in the Honor Roll box). Can't go wrong with hairbands, though - I'm always losing them and misplacing them. Estimated price - $0.38.

Hollywood Fashion tape to help your clothes stay put. Definitely intrigued and will likely try this product out, especially while wearing dresses. Had to estimate this price based on similar products by the brand and sizes. - $1,50

Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Illuminating Dry Oil Spray. I've already tried this out - smells really nice and gives your hair a shine without looking "dirty-oily". - $5.99

Wet n Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara, which I've already been using and enjoying. It doesn't clump up my lashes and stays on for quite some time. Another thing you can't go wrong with... I use mascara almost every day so it's great to have some extra on hand. - $4.99

And lastly, CoverGirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss in 630 Give Me Guava. It's a nice natural color, but I'm almost positive I've received this in a Walmart subscription box... This lip gloss isn't sticky like the one in the Honor Roll box, so that's a huge plus. - $5.99

TOTAL VALUE: $23.83
TOTAL PAID: $5.00

So once again, good value for the price paid. Also included was a $3 off coupon for any beauty purchase of $15 or more. Good to use for those gift card deals.

Target Honor Roll Beauty Box Review July 2015

Every so often Target will offer a beauty box for a limited time (they run out fast) to purchase on their website. These boxes are similar to beauty subscription boxes, except you don't subscribe- you have to know when they go live and buy them while you can.

This is the first box I ordered out of their two box offer geared at college students. This one is the Honor Roll box for $5 (listed as a value of $20 online, but we'll see by comparing the online prices).

The box was pretty big so the bath pouf could fit in.

First up - John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Treatment that says it can transform fine hair and leave it full after multiple washes. Smells pretty good and I can probably get a couple of uses out of the bottle. It's a 1 oz sample size so based on the price per ounce online - $2.25

Next is a NYX Butter Gloss in Strawberry Parfait. I love NYX products and this is a very nice, light color. It's a little sticky, though, so I do apply some chapstick underneath. - $4.99

A sample size of Olay White Strawberry body wash. I absolutely love this body wash scent after receiving it in a Walmart subscription box and have since been buying the full size. So I was only slightly disappointed to see Target also including it - however, it'll be the perfect size for me to take along when traveling. 3 oz size and based on full size price - $0.64

CoverGirl Outlast All Day Primer which looks to be full size. Goes on very smoothly and no complaints so far while using it. - $9.79

Bathery Delicate Pouf, a very useful thing and not just for college students. Definitely happy to receive one in the box as I tend to go through one every month. Couldn't find anything online, but for a similar size and quality I usually pay roughly $2.00 at Walmart so that's what I'll estimate it as. - $2.00

Burt's Bees White Tea Facial Wipes are once again, something I'm pretty sure I received in a Walmart subscription box. And I didn't care much for them. A pack of 10 which could easily be taken along while traveling, though, so very convenient. Based on what I could estimate online - $2.00

And last - a pack of 3 hairbands - Goody Ouchless Elastics. Sadly, one of them already looked like it was splitting/starting to break. Calculated out to roughly - $0.38

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, based on estimates and online prices:
TOTAL VALUE: $22.05
TOTAL PAID: $5.00
So this box was definitely worth the money, as most Target boxes are. Also included was a Target coupon for $3 off of a Beauty Purchase of $15 or more.
Earn Back on Groceries through Saving Star
Saving Star is a great way to save on groceries or earn a little extra cash. The site has a list of stores you can shop from, and you either tie your rewards/store card into their system to automatically get the savings back, or you can take a picture of the receipt for certain stores (Walmart, Target, etc) and submit it online.
At the beginning of every week they offer one produce item that you can get 20% back on. This can range from bananas, avocados, tomatoes, onions... This week the item is lemons and limes.
Also every week they offer one item you can get 100% savings on. That's right - one free item per week. In the past I've received Morton salt, baking soda, ICE water, candy bars, single serve ice creams, and more. This week the free offer is a 3-4 oz Ben and Jerry's mini cup of ice cream.
They offer many savings similar to coupons, and they also have "one or many" offers where you can save $5 when a certain amount of money on products. One of the examples they have up now is to save $5 when you spend $25 on Ore Ida products. You don't have to purchase all the products at once and can keep submitting receipts until the offer expires or you earn enough.
Once you reach $5, you can cash out via PayPal, send it to your bank account, or donate it to charity.
Check out the site.
Love with Food July Tasting Box Review
My July Love with Food Tasting subscription box has arrived! Thanks to a deal offered through them, I paid $4.99 for this box and I received 100 points to use on their website to buy more snacks when I reach 1000 points ($10).
Love with Food is a monthly subscription box that can be ordered by you personally, or by a workplace for their employees. This company donates meals for every box you order/receive. You can check out their website to see exactly where those meals are being donated, and chances are some have been received in your local area. This food box subscription offers three different boxes - a Tasting box (8+ snacks), a Deluxe box (16-20 snacks), and a Gluten Free box (8-12 Gluten free snacks). Each box will donate 1 - 2 meals to fight hunger in America. You also get points for receiving boxes and reviewing the items inside. You can than use those points to buy snacks in their online store.
They also come with a pamphlet describing the snacks and easily list whether they are Organic, Gluten Free, or Non-GMO. Six of my eight snacks were Gluten Free, so if you don't want to pay a bit more for the exclusively gluten free box, this would also be a good option if you have some gluten free people in the family.
First up are two of the larger snack packages. Hawaiian BBQ kettle potato chips by One Potato Two Potato. Sounds interesting, but I'm personally not a fan of BBQ chips so I'll let someone else try these.
Bear Naked Coconut Almond Curry granola. I love Bear Naked granola products and am excited for this since it's a variety I haven't tried yet. It contains coconut, almonds, and cashews.
Next up is Kids Organic Chews in sour citrus flavor (grapefruit, cherry, lime) by Honey Stinger. One packet provides 100% of your daily Vitamin C needs. Also in the box was a 50% off code for Honey Stinger organic chews or waffles.
Simply Toasted Crunchy Coconut Chips by Bare Snacks. It's great that this lists only three simple ingredients - coconut, cane sugar, and sea salt.
Organic Fruit Snack by Fruigees. It's made with 1/2 cup of fruits and vegetables and is in a beet/cherry flavor. Definitely interested in trying that flavor combination.
Received four different flavors of True Citrus products (Lime, Lemon, Orange, and Grapefruit). You can use these to add some flavor to your beverages and get 25% of your Vitamin C for the day. I believe I read somewhere you could even add these to teas.
One Gum Pop by Glee Gum in what I'm assuming is an orange flavor. These are made with pure cane sugar and natural citrus peels. Also in the box was a discount code for 15% off all products at gleegum.com
And lastly Lemon Almond Biscotti by Biscotti Di Suzy.
One last thing included was a coupon for 1 FREE Lean Cuisine Entree (up to $3.99). Was very excited to see freebie coupons included in this box, and the coupon alone almost makes up the price of the box. I was definitely happy to resubscribe (temporarily stepped away due to lack of funds for the boxes).
Check out Love with Food and join through my invite which will help me earn some points. It's a very nice snack subscription box that'll let you try some new things, and some things you could eventually purchase in stores. I know through this box I found a few snacks I now buy online because I absolutely love them.
